Philodendron

Philodendrons are a large genus of flowering plants that are native to the tropical forests of Central and South America. The genus name comes from the Greek words phileo meaning "to love" and dendron meaning "tree". Philodendrons are popular houseplants because they can adapt to a variety of lighting and water conditions. They have large, dark green leaves that can absorb even small amounts of light and water.
